Whilst this garden was beautiful before, it was full of walkways around rose beds, not what you want when you have a energetic 3 year old! Not only does it have a time consuming maintaince programme but it also is very spikey.
We were asked to come in and remove everything except the borders around the edge and lay a new lawn. Unfortunately the soil here was very wet heavy clay which made rotorvating and levelling very difficult. we had to buy in a lot of sharp sand to mix in with the soils to help improve drainage and cap it with some top soil to get it level.
