We were asked to take down an existing home built pergola which had begun to fall apart. The sides still had the original and healthy plants growing up it. It seemed a shame to cut them right down so we built a new pergola on the inside of the existing one then bolted the old sides to it.
A couple of new raised beds on the inside to neaten up the edges were put in, they have been spaced perfectly to ensure the ride on mower fits down the middle for hassle free mowing.
